Bonnie Chan

Bonnie was a successful businesswoman in trading and electronic technology in Hong Kong during the 1980s and 90s when China’s doors began to open to the rest of the world. In the early 2000s, she transitioned into an executive coaching role, looking for a way to positively impact people’s lives.

Bonnie coaches senior executives on leadership, cross-cultural engagement and succession planning. She believes how leaders talk and are heard by others profoundly affects the impact they have.

Aa pioneer of coaching in Hong Kong, Bonnie was the founding member of the Hong Kong International Coaching Community (HKICC), becoming President in 2005/6. She was the first IAC (International Association of Coaching) certified coach from Hong Kong and the first to achieve the IAC’s MMC (Master Masteries Coach) accreditation.

Bonnie was accredited to use Soundwave in 2014, the first Soundwave Practitioner in Hong Kong and the Greater China region. She is now an Academy Practitioner.

Bonnie commits herself in a wide range of community work, and she was the co-founder of a social enterprise helping visually impaired talents to become life coaches.  She organises the Coaching Cafe platform in Hong Kong for coaches to serve the community through one-on-one coaching and digital classes.

Bonnie co-authored three books on coaching, published in Hong Kong. She is proficient in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese.  She has worked in Japan, Canada, China and Hong Kong.
